Summary

MApp is a platform designed to help managers and teams track, align, and achieve their goals effectively. As the UX designer, my role was to address several user pain points within the existing OKR system and introduce a new support structure to guide users through the platform.

Understanding the problem

The existing OKR system was found to be overly complex, with a convoluted user flow that made it difficult for users to understand and use effectively.

MApp and the OKR Service Providers Landscape

MApp is entering a competitive OKR market with well-established players like Profit.co, Asana, and other specialized OKR platforms. However, by emphasizing psychological insights, a user-friendly interface, and an integrated support system

The Solution

Based on the insights from usability testing and user feedback, I implemented the following solutions:

Revamp the OKR System
  • The new OKR system was designed with a clear, simplified flow. Users could now easily set, track, and update their personal and team OKRs in a streamlined process.

Clear OKR Tracking
  • We introduced distinct sections for "My OKRs" and "Team OKRs," making it easier for users to differentiate and manage their personal and team goals. This improved goal tracking and alignment.

OKR Dashboard
  • A visually intuitive dashboard was created for users to easily view the status of their OKRs, progress updates, and remaining work, allowing for better goal management and performance evaluation

Integrated Support System

designed and implemented a ticketing system that was integrated directly into the MApp interface. If users encountered problems, they could instantly create a support ticket without leaving the application

Introduction of Casper AI

Casper AI was introduced as a conversational assistant within the platform. Unlike a traditional chatbot, Casper AI plays a more active role by:

  • Guiding Users in Writing Constructive Feedback

  • Summarizing One-on-One Call Discussions

  • Notifying Users about OKR Updates

The Outcome

By redesigning the OKR system, introducing Casper AI as a guide and feedback assistant, and creating an integrated ticketing system for seamless user support, MApp successfully addressed key usability issues and enhanced the overall user experience. These changes resulted in greater user adoption, improved goal alignment, and higher satisfaction among both individual users and teams.
